Recital FAQ
What is recital?
Recital is an end of the season show featuring all of our dancers.
When is recital?
Recital is held one time per year at the Ernsthausen Performing Arts Center at Norwalk High School. This year our show will be held May 6, 2023.
Why are there 3 different shows?
We have found that our littlest dancers do best when their show is short and sweet. Therefore we have 2 small shows featuring our dancers aged 2-6. Classes that participate are:
Pre-K Acro
Pre-Ballet/Jazz
Tumblerina Age 2
Tumblerina Age 3
Tumblerina Age 4
Taperina Age 3
Taperina Age 4
Pre-K Hip Hop
We also feature dances from our performance teams.
Dances are assigned to a show at the beginning of the year. Look for Show A or Show B in the title of you dancers class when registering.
Our Big Show features all dancers in classes LEVEL 1 and up. Our performance teams will perform as well.
Do I purchase a costume?
Yes. In October we will add a one time costume fee to your account for $95.00+tax for each class that your dancer participates in. This fees includes your costume and a pair of tights. This fee needs to be paid in full by December 16, 2022. Supplies have become limited and we place our order super early to make sure we do not miss out!
We take care of measuring your dancer, placing the order, distributing the costume, and taking care of any alterations or returns. The costume will be sent home after we have confirmed that it fits your dancer.
What does the recital cost?
We do not charge a recital fee to participate. The only fee is a video download fee of $18.00 per family. A high quality video of all our shows will be shared with everyone. The $18.00 covers the cost of the videographer to record and edit the event. This fee will be added to accounts April 1, 2023.
How much are recital tickets?
Tickets will be $13.00-$20.00 per ticket depending on your seat location. We sell these through a third party website and will provide the link when they go on sale. Each guest aged 3 and up should have a ticket.
Class Pictures
We will have a picture day in the studio with a scheduled time per class. During this time your dancer will take a group photo and an individual photo. There is no obligation to buy pictures, but we would like everyone to participate in the group picture.
Check back here often for updates.
